The General Principles for Applying Justice, Truth, and Remedy in Syria

Global Harmony Foundation joins 60 Syrian and international civil society and survivor-led organizations in endorsing the General Principles for Applying Justice, Truth, and Remedy in Syria.

This first edition of the General Principles (August 2025) marks an important milestone in shaping a shared vision for a future Syria built on justice, truth, accountability, and the rule of law.

Together, we affirm:
 ✔️ Justice is an inherent right for all victims, without exception.
 ✔️ Survivors and victims’ families must be at the center of any justice pathway.
 ✔️ Women’s leadership and feminist perspectives are essential for genuine and inclusive justice.
 ✔️ Accountability and the rejection of impunity are non-negotiable.
 ✔️ A Syrian-led, participatory, and transparent process is key to ensuring long-term peace.

At this historic moment, civil society stands united in calling for a comprehensive, victim-centered, and inclusive transitional justice framework that addresses past violations and paves the way toward a democratic and peaceful Syria.
